演出后的对话会,似乎成为岛国剧场的一种传统。华艺节的演出,总是会安排一场。不过,也就是只有一场,看来有点是为了安排对话会而安排,而不是为了与观众对话而安排。
星期五晚上《私房话》的首演之后,有一场对话会。几乎没有意外的,观众发出的问题,总是直接指向编剧/导演的“意图”。“为什么是这样?”“你们想要表达什么?”等等之类。编剧和导演在回答时,显得相当抗拒。编剧说,你们不要想那么多,不要用理论来看戏,要用感觉,简单一点。导演比较善良,他尝试引导观众,运用自己的方式来阅读剧场。
剧场作为一个文本,可以“简单化”吗?对于一个单纯的观众来说,也许可以。不过,“简单化”作为一种意识形态,把许多值得感受和思考的道路都堵死了。普通的观众,也应该可以比较复杂的看或感受剧场啊。观看剧场,阅读剧场,思考剧场,这正是面对剧场(文本)的乐趣所在。
当然,最重要的,是不要问创作者,你的意图是什么。创作者要表达的,已经通过剧场的演出说出来了。怎样阅读和思考,是观众的责任和权利啊。
这样说来,对话会要来做什么?也许观众可以想一想,除了问创作者的意图,还有什么其它的问题可以问的。

Tremors from an earthquake in a neighbouring land reverberate through the lives of various families. Their once peaceful lives are shaken and the people feel deep unease. In the mornings, they awake with hearts trembling, wondering when their nerves will settle.
Their once secure homes now witness the appearance of mysterious cracks in the walls and dubious visitors of the equine-kind.
They must quickly distract and inspire themselves before they waste away with anxiety. They make plans to visit exotic destinations, renovate their homes, purchase the latest electronic products and take on outdoor hobbies.
A middle aged woman stands firmly within a shiny capsule, surveys the re-constructive work beneath her feet and chants fervently, “The future is a great place to be. The future is a great place to be.”
Inspired by Peter Shaffer’s psychological drama Equus, Flare is a narrative kaleidoscope exploring desperation and escape.
Written by Chong Tze Chien and directed by Natalie Hennedige, this collaboration between The Finger Players and Cake Theatrical Productions is an original dramatic work that draws from each company’s signature visuals and potent storytelling devices.

Wong Kar Wai Dreams
以梦来框架王家卫,以王家卫的电影来框架戏剧现实中的主人翁,又反向以主人翁的梦来框架王家卫和他的电影中的片段——框架和反框架的繁复结构,隐喻着虚幻与现实的互相指涉,是剧团十指帮这次在艺术节里的节目《王家卫之梦》最让人着迷与深思之处。
集导演、编剧、舞台设计三职于一身的张子健,是一个才华横溢的创作者。他的剧作中往往有扣人心弦的人物塑造,采用非常写实的手法,呈现每一个复杂的人格,以及人物之间错综的关系。《王家卫之梦》中的 Ling 以两个当下与老年的角色由两个演员分饰,Serene Chen 与 Christina Sergeant 都是老戏骨,许多内心戏充满压抑式的爆发力。Karen Tan 与 Loong Seng Onn 饰演的夫妻,人物和表演都是比较外露,也带动戏剧的节奏。我最喜欢的还是 Serene 的表演,总是看到她的非演技派的自然演出中,更有多层次的内涵。
OMG, 上面的段落怎么写得那么 journalistic? 读起来像是给报纸写的剧评了。
话说回来,这个戏太明显的佛罗伊德了,用佛罗伊德的理论来分析,没有什么意思。不过,这倒是很好的可以用来讲解佛洛伊德理论的文本。
值得注意的还有很多,舞台设计、音乐、投影等等,都很精彩。
有像《王家卫之梦》这样的本地制作,新加坡艺术节要称为“国际”,是当之无愧的了。
如果你想看的话,还有星期四和星期五两晚的演出,地点是在国家图书馆三楼的戏剧中心。

我会去看这个演出,应该会相当有趣,也会有惊奇。观众将不会舒舒服服的坐在台下的椅子上,而是在台上的凳子上。每场演出只有200个位子。

Synopsis:
He is a piano teacher but he hates music. Despite being born with neither talents nor looks, he is regarded as the toast of the family and the prized breadwinner in the eyes of his mother. But he's only a piano teacher and he can't meet up to his mother's lofty expectations and put up with herneurotic ambitions. His father neither condones his mother nor shields him, existing as a mere shadow lurking in a dark corner of his life. He lives with his family but he craves for independence. He only wants to be a good son but he didn't choose his family after all. He wants to live a more successful life but he lacks the drive and determination. It seems only his servant has an answer to his problems when she presented him with a ...
I'm just a Piano Teacher is a story about a loser in a loser family caughtin a tangle between love and duty. The Finger Players presents this dark and absurdist puppet theatre with live music accompaniment by award-winning sound designer Darren Ng and an atmospheric lighting design by award winning designer, Lim Woan Wen. The Finger Players' full-time artist Oliver Chong directs, writes and designs this multi-layered production, featuring an all female cast in gender-bending roles. Expect an innovative puppet theatre that fuses puppeteers and their puppets as one from the multiple award team of Furthest North, Deepest South (5th Life! Theatre Award- Best Production of the Year). Deft puppet manipulation and ingenious puppet designs promise a riveting night of decisively original theatre.
